Can you understand your doctor’s handwriting? For DES daughters, finding medical records showing that their mums were prescribed DES during pregnancy can be very difficult. If the doctor has retired or died, another doctor may have taken over the practice as well as the records or if the records are found they may just be unreadable …!

The doctors records were lost but the hospital records for me and for my brother stated Smith & Smith regime of stilbestrol and were neatly typed.
This is a good article and one that needs more research for my family.

How many of our mothers took DES? Can we find out from the doctor? Most have passed and the pharmacy may be out of business as well, but what about hospital records? I like that we many of us may have forgotten to look at the hospital records from 50 years ago to see if they can find notes about DES. It is worth a try., Check out this article.

I’ve tried to have my blood test record from 1962 when I was 16 and had hypopituitaryism but the records has been deleted, including my mothers which died in 1992 she had DES before I was born
