Join our social media event taking place at each Full Moon and give a boost to your social networking!
  1. What is this about?
    It’s about networking ; it involves buying virtual stocks – on Empire.Kred (and help players improve in wealth) – and allows everyone to connect and super charge their social networking.
  2. What does it COST to play?
    Nothing apart some free time and free eaves.
  3. WHEN does it run?
    Check the full moon calendar dates to get an idea. Each event starts around the announced UTC time (near the full moon day) and usually lasts five days.
  4. What do I need to DO and WHERE do I need to go?
    1. You need to be a member of the EAv Gangstas, a free unrestricted community with open access, no need to apply, everybody is welcome.
    2. and then leave a comment in the pinned post ► dedicated thread/stream ◄ which thereby registers you.
  5. The sign-up post has been locked!
    The pinned post is prepared before the event start – to serve as an announcement – and is locked until the event starts.
    It does unlock during the event. When the event is over, the post is locked again.
  6. Do I have to stick around the full five days?
    Haha! Just come at your best convenience as often as you like 🙂
  7. I have commitments for the whole week and won’t be able to make it!
    We won’t delete the post… Based on that, if you get two free minutes during the event, you can come just to comment in the pinned post… Then you can always come back later when it suits you best to do your buys and connect… The post will be locked but it won’t be deleted, so you’ll always have access to it…
  8. I don’t have much eaves to spend. How can I get extra for FREE?
    There will be some “refuel” missions during the event.
    There are always some free “gift” missions around…
    You might also receive a “moon pie” – see below…
  9. Is there a suggested amount for spending? 
    If you are not “loaded“, spread your eaves so that you can buy a little in ALL participants. Feel free to repeat the operation in the next days if you wish…
  10. What are the Moon Pies?
    You can sometimes find them for sale in Empire.Kred shop during the event.
    Moon pies are to be thrown at someone else.
    Each moon pie received gives you an extra 100,000 eaves cash.
  11. Can you tell who sent you a Moon Pie?
    Yes: go to Empire.Kred “home“.
    Then  click on the [number] next to “Moon Pies sent to you”.
  12. Do I have to reciprocate Moon Pies?
    No. Some players do not spend real cash on Empire.Kred and moon pies are “expensive” for eaves. If you are a moon pie recipient, there are different ways (such as eaves investments, missions, engagement, status updates) to thank the people who sent you a friendly gift.
  13. What is the full moon network for?
    Kred has created a network which displays posts and tweets (via a feed) dedicated to the #FullMoonEngageMe events. You can get some specific content there and also give and get +Kred easily from fellow participants.

Last May, more than 200 people met in the EAv Gangstas community to join the first Full Moon Engage Me Social Media Event.
It was great to read all the positive comments from those happy Empire Avenue players who said “let’s connect” and engage with each other.

Mea Culpa, in May, I relied on my wall planner icons and mismatched the new moon with the full moon date.
This time I checked better the Full Moon Calendar Dates… and can confirm it will start on Friday 13th of June at 12:00 noon UTC until Monday the 16th in HERE.
The 4 weeks gap between each event will be respected from now on…

The Strawberry Moon

There are native American names for the full moons that you can find here. June Month full moon is called Strawberry Moon!

In April 2014, the Leaders started running EAv’s marketing, recruitment, and retention programs. Okay, the technical staff continues to support the platform, manage the database, and provide normal tech support but EAv clearly became the first social media network run by members, for members. I have been genuinely impressed by the amount of devotion, time, energy, skills and efforts dedicated by many EAv Leaders, completely justifying the initial name chosen for the group.

How the EAv Leaders fit in the #FullMoonEngageMe SoMe Event

All EAv members are invited to join the Full Moon Engage Me Social Media Event. Remember, the reasons for the event are much rather for a fruitful let’s connect time than for a buy-me boost… Therefore the event will be an ideal opportunity for anyone considering to join the Leaders to ask specific questions (such as measurable benefits, time saved, etc.) – directly to Leaders joining the SoMe event – in a non-judgemental community where we hope everyone will feel completely relaxed.

Is there still Life outside the EAv Leaders?

Yes there is! And, would some EAv players feel that the game is getting too hard… and/or in the unlikely event that some non regular players would feel there is not much left for the non Leaders… the FullMoon EngageMe Social Media Event community will be exclusively opened to the regular players! By doing so, we hope that the missions launched by the SoMe event hosts will help the EAv players in need of even more support.
As a reminder, everyone has access to the Gangstas community which is where the EAv event takes place. The Leaders have agreed to support the event with publicity and missions too.

How did I get the Idea of this New SoMe Event?

Of course I was inspired by the enthusiasm and success generated over the years by the [X]PendaPalooza events on Empire Avenue.
I think they brought lots of extra fun in the game. The Full Moon Engage Me Social Media Event should not conflict with [X]PendaPalooza and EAv players should see some major differences soon.

#FullMoonEngageMe Vs Xpenda : the Differences

  • I am sure there will be lots of buys too with #FullMoonEngageMe , but I hope the reasons to join  will be more to make new valuable connections rather than build portfolio wealth and share price higher value ([X]PendaPalooza is a buy-frenzy. EAv players get a massive boost on share price. That’s why some rush to be in very early).
  • Participants will also post in a thread – but – instead of just adding your ticker link, you will be recommended to add few words sounding a bit more “creative“… It can be one of your jokes or favourite quotes, it can be something about you, it can be anything of interest for the other participants…
  • Since the best way to connect on Empire Avenue is by becoming a shareholder, we will ask participants to invest at least 5-10 shares in ALL participants (and not to focus on the best stocks only… remember the goal is to engage…).
  • We will ask anyone joining the #FullMoonEngageMe to follow each other on EAv (green button under the profile image).
  • We hope you’ll take this opportunity to also connect some other networks (personally I plan to send friend/contact requests for Facebook and Linkedin to ALL participants).
  • The community admins plan to help – via missions – more especially those in need of support (more details later). We hope that the event will help some people feel a bit better in the unlikely event some find themselves slightly struggling with the platform.
  • While [X]PendaPalooza usually lasts 24 hours only , #FullMoonEngageMe will last few days, starting on the full moon day until the next Monday. The SoMe event will always take place in the same community, at a predictable date, every four weeks. Therefore we he hope to meet regularly with the same people AND also with some new faces in order to help the whole EAv community grow.

After joining Empire avenue (EAv), you become involved as a social stock with lots of benefits.
Your stock appears in the “Recently Listed” section, you attract lots of virtual investors who often leave a friendly message on your EAv wall. This is fun, buzzing and exciting. After seven days, your “Fresh Face” status expires, meaning there is even more fun, buzz and excitement… Then, after a couple weeks, it can become quiet for some, even too quiet… some people might start thinking : what was the point of all this, what is this all about?
The SoMe event should help people in meeting some of the most active EAv players happy to share their own tips (about their use of the platform, sharing similar interests, etc.).

Empire Avenue is somehow much more complex that it seems; it is easy for any user to get confused on what is best to do…
For example, some will tell you how to Put Empire Avenue on Steroids , describe their 7 Pillars Of Your Empire Avenue Success , share their 5 steps for a successful start on Empire Avenue or their Empire Avenue Beginners Guide… While I think there is no really wrong way, each method suggested above will impact the time you spend on the platform, impact your connections and perhaps your image too… so it is easy to get a bit lost… Connecting and chatting with other players helps build trust and find out what might suit you best at the time.
I hope the event will help addressing that point too, would you like to.

On EAv, you receive – virtual – daily earnings from your “eaves” investments – assuming you login at least once every 30 days.
The Full Moon Engage Me Social Media Event should be an extra motivation for non regular EAv users to login more often and/or to make new valuable connections – easily and quickly.

The actual limits of [X]PendaPalooza and the idea to have something similar and different at the same time, but on a much more regular and predictable basis.

Launching a NEW Social Media Event

Join our NEW social media event taking place at the Full Moon – via EAv – and give a boost to your social networking!

Starting at the next full moon – Wednesday 28th of May – a group of social media enthusiasts will launch a new event called FullMoon EngageMe Social Media Event. The FREE event, which is open to anyone, will last until the next Monday (following the full moon day – for the people joining slightly later) and – if proven successful – will take place each month and start at each next full moon day. The goal of this new social media event is simply to meet and interact with active and friendly social media fans in order to grow your social media networks with real people from various backgrounds, cultures, interests and talents.

Super Charge your Social Networking

We all now know the relevance of social media (SoMe)… therefore:

  • what’s the point of creating great content if your “tools” (platforms used to spread your message) are limited?
  • what’s the point of having a large base of followers if they don’t engage and/or help you spread your message a step further?
  • this SoMe event aims to facilitating meeting top engagers, regularly and on a date which is easy to remember  🙂

Here comes Empire Avenue

Empire Avenue (EAv) is a social media platform which can have lots of purposes. You will find many social media “SuperEngagers” and/or producing mind blowing content easily approachable via EAv. As an example, let me show you Reg‘s pictures on Facebook, Kamal‘s SEO posts on Google+, June‘s interests on Twitter, Terri‘s graphics on Instagram and E J Jay presence on Linkedin – all found in a blink of an eye via Empire Avenue…

  • EAv players joining the event will add their link in a special pinpost in the EAv Gangstas community (free open access – 1,835 members).
  • Eligible (more information in a next post) EAv players will be offered to join the FullMoon EngageMe Social Media Event community (invitation required) and will receive extra help and support from the community admins.
