  1. I am a DES daughter who holds the 1973 letter affirming DES exposure. I had my first exam in 1974. I am sad to request to be removed from your emails. I must. I do not have time to sift through them and they are clogging up my email. It saddens me to think that you *seem* to be so obsessed with the fact that your health is compromised by DES that it *looks* like it is all you do. No judgement here, just telling you the impression all those email give me. I have decided not to ignore my exposure, but to live my life to the fullest. I do work to keep up with DES news, but I just don’t have the time to read DES stuff every day. I have researched to find what I can do to reduce/postpone what seems to be the inevitable breast cancer. 1. I have stopped drinking/eating all dairy after reading the work of Dr. T. Colin Campbell. 2. All animals have estrogens to the best I can determine. Certainly we know that unless they are organic or wild they have been fed hormones. Some researchers also state they release hormones as they are slaughtered. I do not eat them. Not even eggs. I am *not* an animal activist! 3. I seldom use a microwave and if I do, I try to stand at least 4 feet away from the unit. 4. We buy organic whenever possible – where I live, we have a great organic market. 5. I stay away from all soy and flax – really limits what prepared foods I can buy. I am excited to find Coconut Aminoes to substitute for soy sauce. I never use baking spray as it all has soy. 6. I try to make sure all plastic is BPA free. 7. I shampoo with baking soda from the box and condition with apple cider vinegar. I also do as much cleaning of my home with those two products as possible. Vinegar in one spray bottle and hydrogen peroxide in another sprayed on kitchen surfaces kills the bacteria. 8. We use colloidal silver in a spray bottle for deodorant, also spraying an aluminum-free deodorant spray from the organic market that does not work alone. MUCH better than antiperspirants! My list could go on, but I will spare you. I used to be very angry with the pharmaceutical companies, but I have come to peace with it. I still believe justice must be served and the suits must proceed, but my deep anger is gone. Please forgive me if I offend you with the following, but I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I have decided that Psalm 39 is still true even for me – “You knit my parts together in my mother womb… I am fearfully and wonderfully made….” God allowed Mom to be prescribed DES and He has used it to mold my character to be the person He wants me to be. Therefore I can quote and practice “in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God concerning YOU.” My immune system is so compromised I missed 1/3 of kindergarten, was always the kid who missed the most school each year, etc, etc. I am also the “victim” of over prescribing asthma drugs with many adverse effects. Life has not been easy, but with the things I am doing to slow the effects of DES, I am finally much healthier and able to be deeply involved in other people’s lives. I only pray He will use me to help others come to peace within themselves.

    1. Hi Patricia and thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am glad for you that your choices and beliefs *seem* to help you *deal* with DES. This blog *Emails* are automatically generated by WordPress.com, just click un-subscribe if you don’t want to receive them anymore. Best wishes.
